suspected assault of foreign diplomats, the Judea and Samaria District and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) carried out a pre-dawn arrest operation as part of the ongoing investigation. Ten suspects were arrested and transferred for questioning by the District’s Central Investigations Unit and police stations in the Samaria Region. In the early hours of this morning, numerous Judea and Samaria District police officers, together with the ISA, Border Police officers from Judea and Samaria, IDF forces, and with support from the “Rakia” unit, operated at several locations in the Binyamin area to locate suspects allegedly involved in the recent reported acts of violence, as well as individuals suspected of violating a military commander’s order declaring a closed military zone. During the operation, ten suspects were arrested. Items linking the suspects to the alleged offenses were seized, and several vehicles were confiscated. Following reports of acts of violence over the weekend, including the suspected assault of a foreign journalist and the suspected assault of foreign diplomats in the area of the village of Taybeh in Binyamin, an investigation was launched and assigned to the Judea and Samaria District’s Central Investigations Unit. Since then, investigators have carried out a range of investigative measures, including collecting evidence and taking witness statements. As part of efforts to advance the investigation and locate and question those involved, dozens of police officers from stations across the Samaria Region, Special Patrol Unit officers, and district reinforcement forces operated in the early hours of this morning alongside Border Police officers from Judea and Samaria and IDF forces, with aerial support from the “Rakia” unit. The forces entered several locations in the area, where suspects were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the reported acts of violence, violating a military commander’s order declaring a closed military zone, and illegal construction. The suspects were transferred for questioning by the Judea and Samaria District Central Investigations Unit and various police stations in the Samaria Region, according to the suspicions against each of them. Following questioning, and subject to the findings of the investigation, they will be brought before a court for a hearing. *Judea and Samaria District Commander, Deputy Commissioner Moshe Pinchi, said this morning:* “In the early hours of this morning, we launched Operation ‘Olive Leaf’ together with the ISA and with the support of Border Police and IDF forces, with the aim of arresting suspects in connection with the acts of violence reported over the weekend. Since these incidents were reported, we have been working to collect evidence and witness statements and establish an evidentiary basis that will enable those responsible to be brought to justice.” *Israel Police Commissioner, Daniel Levy, said:* “The law in Judea and Samaria applies to everyone, regardless of identity or affiliation. The Israel Police is committed to professional, equal, and impartial law enforcement, based on evidence and in accordance with the law. “At the same time, a distinction must be made between responsibility for preventing incidents in the field and responsibility for investigating and enforcing the law after they occur. We will continue to coordinate with all security agencies to strengthen security and the rule of law and ensure that anyone found to have violated the law is brought to justice.” Attached for your use is footage of this morning’s operation to arrest the suspects. *Video credit: Israel Police Spokesperson’s Unit*
